総合物流企業の本社オフィス移転計画。皇居に面する約800㎡のフロアに、前オフィスの開放感を引き継ぎ、社員同士のコミュニケーションを促すオフィスが求められた。 エントランスから入って正面に、眼下に皇居を一望できる景色の良いラウンジスペースを設け、来客にも立地の良さが体感できるように考えた。そのラウンジを中心に、執務スペースや会議室、役員スペースなどの諸室をその周縁に配置することで、見通しの効く伸びやかで開放的な空間としている。 ラウンジは、来客時の応接、打合せ、執務等の多様な活動が行われる広場のようなスペースである。所有する美術品の台座、植栽の鉢を家具のように扱い、オフィスに溶け込むようにデザインした。 フロアスタンドの照明も台座に乗せ、それらを空間に点在させることで、美術品と共存するオフィスをつくりだした。 照明は、ラウンジと動線をダウンライトの柔らかな光で計画し、また、廊下の奥には絵画や彫刻を配置しつつダウンライトで照明を落とし、突き当りの暗がりや閉塞感を軽減する配慮をした。8ｍ程の長さの光幕天井のボックスの下にはドリンクをサーブするカウンターを設け、柔らかい光の中で社員同士の自然なコミュニケーションがうまれるように考慮した。 眼下の皇居への眺望を背景に、什器や美術品、照明、植栽が織りなす彩り豊かで、開放的なオフィス空間を実現した。

Relocation plan for the head office of a general logistics company. A new office with 800m2 of floor space facing the Imperial Palace was required to inherit the open feel of the previous office and promote communication among employees. The interior was planned to incorporate a lounge space positioned to provide a splendid view of the Imperial Palace below, allowing visitors to appreciate the office’s prime location. Creating an open and expansive space, we designed the layout to include working spaces, meeting rooms, and spaces for senior executives surrounding the lounge. The lounge functions as a versatile space where various types of activities can occur, such as guest reception and meetings, as well as desk work. The layout of the pedestals for art pieces and planters was thoughtfully designed to integrate harmoniously with the office environment, functioning as part of the furniture. By placing the floor stands on the pedestals, they coexist and are in harmony with the artworks in the office. The lighting plan includes soft lighting for the lounge and pathways. The pictures and sculptures deep in the hallway are lit by downlights to mitigate the darkness and create a more open feel. A counter for serving drinks was installed under a box with an 8m-long light curtain ceiling, which encouraged natural communication among employees under soft lights. Overlooking the Imperial Palace, the office space comes alive with vibrant interactions of fixtures, artwork, lighting, and plants, crafting a dynamic and open workspace.
