模型文化を発信する、タミヤのパーツ販売専門店「TAMIYA MODELERS STORE」の計画。2024年5月に
オープンした斜め向かいのフラッグシップ店に続き、昔ながらのコアファンのための専門性が高いアフターパーツの直営店を手掛けた。
50m2の区画に約2000点のパーツが所狭しと並び、物量のある高揚感を感じつつも、透明感のある店舗を提案した。ディスプレイには、モジュール化された既製品のアルミフレームやスチールメッシュを用い、ハンギングがメインの商品をひとつでも多く陳列できるよう、表裏を使いながら大きな表面積を確保している。内装仕上げは、御影石の壁をそのままに、床のみ高耐久のフェルト状カーペットに張り替えた。アルミの支柱に直付けしたライン状の照明で対面の棚を照らすことで、細かいパーツ類が見やすくなるよう配慮している。御影石に映り込む照明は空間を広く見せ、外観からも特徴的な要素になっている。レジカウンターやジオラマ台も同じアルミフレームで構成し、商品やロゴが映えるように配慮した。
模型店ならではの高揚感と機能性を両立する空間を目指した。

Following the flagship store that opened diagonally across in May 2024, Tamiya has launched a new directly-managed store, TAMIYA MODELERS STORE. This store is dedicated to highly specialized parts for longtime core fans, offering aftermarket and customizable parts.
Spanning the 50m² area, the store is densely packed with approximately 2,000 parts, creating an exciting sense of volume, while still proposing a transparent and open store design. The displays are constructed utilizing a modular system compromised of pre-fabricated aluminum frames and steel mesh, to maximize the surface area. This allows for as many products as possible to be hung and exhibited from both front and back. The interior walls retain the original, dark granite finish, with only the floor being replaced with highly durable felt-like carpeting.
Linear lighting, affixed directly on the aluminum posts illuminate the shelves across the space, ensuring that even the smallest parts are clearly visible. The reflective interplay of light upon the granite walls imparts an expansive feel, simultaneously becoming a distinctive feature, visible even from the exterior. The cash counter and diorama display table are similarly constructed using the same aluminum frames, carefully designed to highlight the products and logos.
The store aims to balance the excitement unique to a parts shop with high functionality, creating a space that enhances the overall experience for model enthusiasts.
