三井不動産レジデンシャルが主催する、東京ウォーターフロントの魅力を再発見するためのキャンペーン「Waku Waku Water Front」の拠点となる、インフォメーションブース。アーバンドックららぽーと豊洲にて2012年10月～2013年3月の半年間開催される。
このブースは、来場者が三井不動産レジデンシャルの物件情報やイベントに自然に接してもらうためのインフォメーション機能と、湾岸エリアを楽しく散策し、より深く知ってもらうために期間を通じ、連動して開催される宝探しイベントのための受付で構成される。家族が一緒になって楽しく過ごせる場所として、全体が大きな遊具のようでもあり、また宝探しの起点となることから、秘密基地のようにワクワクできる場所を目指した。
ここでは、巨大な積み木型のブロックを組み合わせて壁面やカウンターをつくることで、個別のピースから全体が出来上がるようなブースを提案した。全景は、ヨットや船、家やビルといった湾岸の風景をイメージしている。ブロックの面の一部はパタパタと手前に折れて、テーブルやベンチ、サインにもなり、ブロックと同様、お互いが寄り添って自立する構造としている。
誰もがイメージできる積み木がスケールアウトすることで、ブース自体がイベントのサインにもなり、ショッピングモールの中に非日常的な風景を生み出す。

Waku Waku Station is an information booth sponsored by Mitsui Real Estate Residential that is at the center of the “Waku Waku Water Front” campaign to rediscover the charms of Tokyo’s waterfront held from October 2012 to March 2013 at the Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu.
The booth is made to function both as an information desk to allow visitors to naturally come in contact with event and property information from Mitsui Real Estate Residential and as a reception desk for treasure hunting events during which visitors can spend time leisurely strolling the bay area and gaining a deeper insight. The booth is like a big playground equipment where families can have a fun time together or like an exciting secret base at the starting point of a treasure hunt.
We proposed creating a booth from separate pieces by assembling giant building blocks into walls and a counter. The design takes inspiration from the yachts, boats, houses and buildings found in the bay scenery. Some surfaces can be used as sign boards or come down easily to become a table or a bench, and like building blocks, they can support themselves by lying on one another.
By resizing building blocks which anyone can easily imagine, the booth itself becomes a poster for events, thereby producing an extraordinary sight in the middle of the shopping mall.
